Caroline Pecoraro

Postdoctoral researcher and PhD in Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and communication professor at PUC-Rio.

She is Institutional Management Coordinator at Instituto Democracia em Xeque and Professor of Communication at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She holds a PhD and a master’s degree in Communication from the same university, where she also earned a degree in Social Communication with a specialization in Journalism. She is an associate researcher at the Communication and Politics Research Group (COMP/PUC-Rio) and at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD). Since 2024, she has held a postdoctoral fellowship in the project “AI and Machine Learning and Data Science Applied to Detecting Socioenvironmental Information for the Communication Ecosystem” at LABIC/Ufes.
