PhD and master’s degree holder in Contemporary Communication and Culture from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), with training in Journalism from the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) and specialization in Photography from the University of Araraquara.
He completed a sandwich period at the iNOVA Media Lab of NOVA University Lisbon and is part of the Online Journalism Research Group (GJOL/UFBA). He conducts research in digital journalism and digital visualities, especially photography, visual journalism, photojournalism, and visual methodologies.
