Filipe Mendes Motta

PhD and master’s degree holder in Political Science (UFMG), bachelor’s degree holder in Social Communication (UFMG), and Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA).

He is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Administration at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), in the sociopolitical area. He holds a PhD and a master’s degree in Political Science (UFMG) and a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication (UFMG). He is a member of Margem - Research Group on Democracy and Justice. From 2021 to 2025, he was a postdoctoral resident in UFMG’s Graduate Program in Political Science, with CNPq and Fapemig fellowships. He has researched issues related to deliberation, democratic innovations, participation, social movements, media, and the public sphere, with an interest in the relationship between democracy and environmental issues.
