Gleidylucy Oliveira da Silva

Assistant professor in the Department of Social Sciences and coordinator of the Graduate Program in Political Science at the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar).

She has been a professor at UFSCar since 2019 and coordinates the Center for Integrated Studies in Democracy, Communication, and Society (DECOS/CNPq). Trained in Journalism and holding a master’s degree in Sociology from UFAL, she currently coordinates the thematic areas of Communication and Politics at the Brazilian Political Science Association (ABCP) and Communication and Democracy at the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Communication and Politics (COMPOLITICA). She works on communication and political representation, disinformation, electoral campaigns and negative advertising, political journalism, media, gender, and race. Mother of Maria Luiza and Joao Vicente, she is a consultant in content/text analysis and agenda-setting/framing using computational tools.
