Helga do Nascimento de Almeida

PhD and master’s degree holder in Political Science and graduate in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), and assistant professor at the Federal University of Vale do Sao Francisco (UNIVASF).

She is an assistant professor of Political Science at the Federal University of Vale do Sao Francisco (UNIVASF), in the Social Sciences Collegiate. She is a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Political Science at the Federal University of Piaui (UFPI) and in the Graduate Program in Politics, Culture, and Society at the Federal University of Vale do Sao Francisco (PoCAm). She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2017), including a sandwich doctorate at Universita Degli Studi Di Roma (La Sapienza) in the Department of Communication and Social Research (2015-2016). She holds a master’s degree in Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2013) and a degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2010). She is deputy coordinator of the Observatory of Conflicts on the Internet - Observa (UFABC), coordinator of the research group Politik - Center for Studies on Institutions, Participation, and Political Culture - UNIVASF, a researcher at the Center for Research on Internet and Politics - CEPPI - UFMG, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Brazilian Network of Women Scientists (RBMC).
