He holds a PhD in Political Science (UFMG) and is a professor at UnB’s Institute of Political Science. He serves as Finance Director of the Brazilian Association of Electoral Researchers (ABRAPEL), coordinates the research network Political Communication and Electoral Behavior in Latin America (LATICOM Group) of the Latin American Political Science Association (ALACIP), and is a Survey Specialist fellow at IPEA. He leads the Public Information and Elections group (Ipe) at UnB and coordinates Politeia. He was a visiting researcher at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico, with support from ALACIP, and a visiting researcher at the University of Massachusetts in the SUSI Scholars Program, funded by the U.S. State Department. He received the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award (2021-2022) from the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Communication and Politics (COMPOLITICA) and an honorable mention in the Antonio Lavareda Award (2015) from the Latin American Association of Researchers in Electoral Campaigns (ALICE). He has worked as general coordinator and consultant in the public opinion research market. His research agendas include political communication, the internet and politics, political behavior and public opinion, public policy, and political behavior.
