Letícia Varela Capone holds a PhD and a master’s degree in Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She is research director at Instituto Democracia em Xeque and a member of the Communication, Internet and Politics research group (COMP/PUC-Rio). Her doctoral research examined online public consultations on Brazil’s Internet Civil Framework and their contributions to democratic deliberation.
