PhD in Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), postdoctoral researcher in Political Science at the University of Padova/UFMG, and implementation and research lead for Community Assemblies at the ISWE Foundation.

He holds a PhD in Political Science from UFMG and is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Padova and UFMG. He works on the implementation and research of democratic innovations, participatory governance, and sociotechnical transformations, with special focus on deliberative processes and citizen participation in complex issues such as climate and biotechnologies. His approach combines traditional, critical, and participatory methodologies to understand experiences, inequalities, and structural conditions that shape different forms of civic engagement. He is part of international research networks on deliberative democracy, climate policy, and governance of scientific innovations, working as an associate researcher at Margem (UFMG), the Global Citizens’ Assembly Network (GloCAN), and the ISWE Foundation.
