He is a professor in the Department of Cultural and Media Studies and a researcher in the Graduate Program in Communication at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). He is a CNPq research productivity fellow (PQ level C) and a Young Scientist of Our State fellow from Faperj. He is a member of the Management Committee of the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD). He holds a PhD in History, Politics, and Cultural Goods from the Center for Research and Documentation of Brazilian Contemporary History at Fundacao Getulio Vargas (Cpdoc-FGV), with postdoctoral work as a visiting researcher and Junior Postdoctoral fellow in Communication and Culture at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). He has research experience in Political Communication, especially at the interface between political culture and digital culture, digital methods, disinformation and hate speech, humor and democracy, political violence on digital platforms, digital activism, influence operations, online participation, and other topics. He leads the Research Laboratory on Communication, Political Cultures, and the Economy of Collaboration (coLAB/UFF), and coordinates the extension project #MUSEUdeMEMES.
