He researches communication and behavior, with emphasis on studies of disinformation and vaccine hesitancy. His ongoing research projects include investigations on the effectiveness of refutations against vaccine disinformation and the use of accuracy nudges against the sharing of false news. Some of his recent articles have been published in Vaccine, Political Behavior, and Frontiers in Political Science. He coordinates the Center for Research in Political Communication and Public Health (CPS) at the University of Brasilia (UnB), a group that brings together researchers from USP, UFG, IDP, Western University (Canada), and Vanderbilt University (USA). He completed postdoctoral research periods at Western University (2020) and Universite Laval (2024), both in Canada. He has contributed articles and interviews to the press on disinformation and the relationship between communication, politics, and public health for outlets such as Folha de S.Paulo, Poder360, The Conversation Brasil, Valor Economico, and O Globo. He coordinates the Power and Communication Processes research line in UnB’s Graduate Program in Communication.
