On Tuesday, 3 December, Aláfia Lab and INCT.DD will host the conference “How Do Brazilians Become (Dis)informed?” The aim is to discuss the relationship between information consumption, digital media, and disinformation in Brazil. The panel includes Samara Castro, Director for the Promotion of Freedom of Expression at the Presidency’s Secretariat for Social Communication; Victor Durigan, Coordinator for Combating Disinformation at the Supreme Federal Court (STF); Emerson Cervi, professor and INCT.DD researcher; and Maria Paula Almada, Director of Projects at Aláfia Lab.
The event will also present two new studies on Brazilians’ information consumption habits, developed by INCT.DD and Aláfia Lab.
