The Congress of the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD) reaches its sixth edition in 2023. Traditionally held in Salvador, the event takes place from 6 to 9 November and will bring together Brazilian researchers from many areas of digital democracy. This year, researcher Suzana Salgado (ICS-ULisboa) will open the event as the keynote speaker (more information soon).
The event is an important opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about social developments that affect digital democracy and digital government. Researchers in the network can discuss the topics that interest them most with their peers and expand the knowledge of a broad academic audience. At least 30 studies will be discussed, bringing together about 60 students and professors. The event organizers screened the studies, which cover the Institute’s areas of work, including digital parliament, elections, politics in digital media, and digital government.
This is the first Congress since the 2022 election. It is therefore also a time to assess the direction of these fields and the outlook for science in Brazil during this new electoral cycle.
