GEOPP studies public-policy development, with attention to formulation, implementation, evaluation, equity, participation, and virtual dimensions of contemporary policy experiences.
This group aims to discuss and analyze aspects related to the process of developing public policies. In this case, the group seeks to understand how public policy is organized (formulation) and unfolds (implementation) in this space, also considering the results of this process, which points to an evaluation perspective on the intervention. Beyond understanding that process, it is also important to discuss the extent to which these policies generate greater equity, enabling citizens to have more qualified access to services offered by the State. For this reason, the group’s analyses are guided by the perspective of equity, a concept that goes beyond equality by recognizing different degrees of access to these rights. Finally, another conceptual dimension explored by the group is participation. The group is interested in understanding virtual elements of current experiences.
