He holds a PhD in Communication and Information from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PPGCOM/UFRGS), including a sandwich doctorate at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain. He holds a master’s degree in Communication and Information (PPGCOM/UFRGS) and a degree in Journalism (UFRGS). He is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication at the School of Library Science and Communication of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (FABICO/UFRGS). He coordinates the Undergraduate Journalism Committee (Comgrad/Jor) for the 2024-2026 term. He is a member of the editorial board of Intexto, a scientific journal of UFRGS’s Graduate Program in Communication (E-ISSN 1807-8583). He is part of the coordination of the Public Communication Observatory (OBCOMP/UFRGS). He is a researcher at the Public and Political Communication Research Center (Nucop/UFRGS), the Journalism Research Center (NUPEJOR/CNPq), and the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD). He is a member of SBPJOR (Brazilian Association of Journalism Researchers).
