Kelly Cristina de Souza Prudencio

Full Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR).

She holds a PhD in Political Sociology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2006), with a research period at Freie Universitat Berlin (2004), and completed postdoctoral work in Communication at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2016). She was secretary-general of the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Communication and Politics (Compolitica) from 2015 to 2017 and editor of Revista E-Compos, published by the National Association of Graduate Programs in Communication (Compos), from 2017 to 2019. She works in UFPR’s Graduate Program in Communication. She has experience in Communication and Politics, working mainly on social movements, political participation, digital activism, and public deliberation. She coordinates the Communication and Political Participation research group (COMPA) and the Laboratory for Studies in Political Communication and Democracy (LECOMP), associated with the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT.DD).
