COMPA

The group discusses communication as a foundation in processes of political participation by diverse collective actors. Its research focuses on the following areas: the relationship between communication and social movements, mediatized actions of political activism, political mobilization, e-government experiences, popular councils, participatory budgeting and digital activism, human rights, gender, public communication, and other ways in which collective actors participate in the construction of democratic spaces in search of social recognition. It also includes approaches that address journalistic coverage of politics and topics related to the group’s interests.
