She holds a PhD and a master’s degree in Contemporary Communication and Culture (Facom/UFBA), in the communication and politics line, and a degree in Social Communication (Journalism) from the same institution. She completed a doctoral research period at the School of Public Affairs and Administration, Rutgers University (USA). She is a postdoctoral researcher (CAPES fellow) at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT-DD), a member of the Communication, Internet, and Democracy research group (UFBA), and director of Alafia Lab, where she coordinates research on fake news and information sources.
