He is a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Digital Democracy (INCT-DD) and a level 2 CNPq research productivity fellow. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science from Unicamp and Economics from UFPR, a master’s degree in Political Science from Unicamp (1996), and a PhD in Economic Development from Unicamp (2008). He coordinated seminars and working groups at ANPOCS on cyberpolitics, cyberactivism, and cyberculture (2010-2015). He completed postdoctoral work at the Institute of Communication Studies at the University of Leeds (2013-2014). He was also coordinator of Compolitica’s Internet and Politics Working Group (2015-2019) and coordinator (2017-2019) and vice coordinator (2021-2022) of UFPR’s Graduate Program in Political Science. He was one of the editors of Parlamento Digital: Conceitos e Praticas (Brasilia: Editora UnB, 2023). He coordinates the ANPOCS Working Group Politics and Society at the Subnational Scale: Historical, Comparative, and Spatial Approaches (2025-2026), with Lucileia Aparecida Colombo (Unesp-IPEA).
