CPOP develops research on political communication and public opinion.
The Political Communication and Public Opinion research group has existed since 2000 with the main goal of developing research on political communication and public opinion. Its mission is to train new researchers and produce information about electoral campaigns. Its history includes information on election coverage in major Brazilian newspapers, the content of Free Electoral Advertising Time (HGPE), and, more recently, electoral debate on digital networks. To date, the group has studied nine elections (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018), as well as the 2005 referendum on disarmament.
