Substitute professor in the Department of Animal Science and Rural Development - DZDR and postdoctoral researcher in the Graduate Program in Journalism at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).

She is a journalist, holds a master’s degree in Communication (Unesp), and a PhD in Journalism (UFSC). She is currently a substitute professor in the Department of Animal Science and Rural Development (DZDR) and a postdoctoral researcher in the Graduate Program in Journalism (PPGJor), both at UFSC. She teaches Rural Extension and Social Organization Systems, and researches information integrity, climate disinformation, public communication, and local journalism. She specializes in Rural Education and Agroecology in Family and Peasant Agriculture (UNICAMP) and has experience as a press officer, communication analyst, agroecological extension technician, and popular educommunicator. She has coordinated and developed projects with emphasis on educommunication, science popularization and dissemination, gender, agroecology, popular agrarian reform, and ocean culture. Her research interests include the interfaces of journalism and journalistic discourse with public communication, public interest, public policy, agroecology, agrarian issues, socio-environmental conflicts, climate change, and disinformation.
